VDD/GNA Atlantic is a sub-group or chapter of Group North America of the Verein Deutsch-Drahthaar. Founded in 1998, when VDD/GNA organized it's regional areas, the Atlantic Chapter is comprised of the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Atlantic Chapter Annual Meeting, BBQ Dinner and Breed Show Our chapter's annual meeting and breed show was held on May 31, 2008 at the Carlisle Fish and Game Association. Eleven dogs were presented at the breed show and four dogs were presented for pre-Armbruster conformation and coat evaluations. Although we had some heavy rain and thunderstorms in the morning, the afternoon cleared up nicely. Special thanks go out to Scott Shirey for hosting and organizing the meeting, and to Breed Show Judges Jim Wion and Lynda Franklin-Krull, who came out from Missouri and South Dakota to support our chapter. Chapter Procedures for Tests, Elections, and Member News Updates Some new procedures for the Atlantic Chapter to follow with regard to Chapter tests, elections, and communications were voted in by the attending members at the 2008 Atlantic Chapter meeting on 30 May 2008. |
Atlantic Chapter VJP Season Wrapped Up The Chapter VJP's season wrapped up with the 3-day Mifflinburg test. We held 3 test weekends and saw 36 dogs successfully tested. Thanks go out to our hardworking judges, the test organizers and all of the handlers who supported the VDD breeding program by preparing their pups and presenting them at a VJP.
