VDD/GNA Atlantic is a sub-group or chapter of Group North America of the Verein Deutsch-Drahthaar. Founded in 1998, when VDD/GNA organized it's regional areas, the Atlantic Chapter is comprised of the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Membership in this region has been concentrated in New Jersey and southeastern Pennysylvania since the 1980's. Over the years membership has spread outward from this center and as of February 2007, we have members in every state in our chapter except Rhode Island. Tests are held every year in central and southern New Jersey, and in central and western Pennsylvania. Tests have also been held in New York from time to time. Chapter-sponsored training days are currently being hosted each year in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
