Woodstown VJP 2008

Thanks to our hardworking judges, who had to endure temperatures near 80 degrees, rain and thunderstorms on Saturday, and a 30 degree drop in temperature on Sunday. Senior Judge Bob Budin marched around all weekend on a bad knee, Co-Judge Bob Secoura had the flu, probably picked up from the folks in PA when he judged the Carlisle test, and both Bob B. and Nick judged at the Mifflinburg test just one week later.

Thanks also go out to all of the handlers for supporting the VDD breeding program by presenting their young dogs for evaluation. And of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of our hosts: John and Cheryl DiGregorio, owners of Game Creek Hunting Farm, who made available one of their leases on the spring turkey opener, and the Delsea Beagle Club, and Ken Straub, who have provided invaluable support to their fellow gun dog owners by allowing our chapter to hold tests on their grounds.

Dog was okay, but the judges are a little flinchy.

Ryan Martinez from Virginia, with his son Austin and their dog Paul vom Moorehaus.

Ed Seltzer with Arko vom Schlussstein. Ed was the first GNA Business Manager in 1971.

Lenny Horsford from Massachusetts, with Arno III vom Kervinshof. Lenny filled in for Arno's owner, Nate Neville, when Nate's
unit was deployed overseas.

Lenny Horsford again, with his own dog, Indy vom Willow Rock, waiting for the okay from the judges to pick up his dog.

Harold Jennings, from New Jersey, with his dog Abigail v. den Catskills.

And they're off! Clay Walton, from Delaware, and Kondor vom Fuchsfluesschen starting field search.

Roger Totton, from PA, with Brooke III vom Kervinshof, returning from their fieldwork.

Harold Jennings' Abigail waits patiently by the truck for her turn.
